| I was disappointed by the way I was treated during a recent visit to the historic building where Tokyo Smoke is located. I had entered the lobby area (not the retail store itself) to quickly check my phone, as I was meeting someone at a business next door and was briefly unsure of the exact entrance.
While standing in the lobby, I was yelled at by an employee from the store upstairs. I was not inside the shop, nor was I interfering with the business in any way. When I politely asked for clarification about the address I was trying to find, I was met with further raised voices.
As someone who is autistic, situations involving sudden confrontation can be especially distressing. I left feeling shaken and embarrassed, simply for standing in a public lobby while trying to orient myself before a meeting.
I hope this feedback encourages more respectful and understanding interactions in the future. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location for customer service. |
