| We were at this store because we wanted to support small local independent businesses. We asked for a vape battery, the girl pulled it for us and said we could look at it while she was holding it, but she couldn't let it go until we paid for it. I asked her if I could touch it and inspect it, she said no, due to theft prevention company policies (the battery cost was CAD$15-$20). We were shocked, I asked her "are you implying that we are going to steal it", she answered it is a company policy". I asked to speak to the Manager and she indicated she was the Manager. She was extremely dismissive and asked us to leave the store. I indicated I could not understand what was happening and why were being treated like thiefs. I asked for the owner's email address, and they have been "investigating" (since Dec 28, 2025). The girl ended up loosing it completely and screaming at us to leave the store as another customer had entered. We ended up buying at different store in the same complex where we were treated properly. | ||
