I don't usually leave negative reviews, as my partner and I have enjoyed visiting this location in the past and always had good conversations with the staff. Unfortunately, today was a very different experience.
I came in with a cart that wasn't working. I had just opened a new one my partner purchased on Friday, and when I tried to preheat my device (a Tribal small pocket battery vape), it displayed an error message.
No auto-something
When I explained this to the staff member, he dismissed my concerns, and insisted the bottom of my cart had broken off in the battery. This was not the caseāthe battery worked fine, and the cart itself was defective. I even brought the bottom piece with me to show that the issue was with the product, not the battery. The cart was still full, making it clear it hadn't been used (as I couldn't) Despite trying to explain, he never checked the device properly and stuck to his incorrect assumption. When I asked for a manager, I was told that he himself was the manager and there was nothing he could do.
Later, I returned with my partner, thinking maybe I hadn't explained myself clearly enough. I live with severe social anxiety and PTSD, which sometimes makes it difficult to communicate details under stress. Another staff member repeated that nothing could be done and told me to contact the manufacturer directly, even though the purchase was only made Friday..
I understand store policies, but every time I tried to explain, I was met with ..
