We placed an online order at 6:23 pm. The website (we ordered through the dutchie platform) advertises 20-30 minute delivery. At 7:39 with no delivery yet, we figured something might be going wrong, so we called to check on the status of the order and the employee on the other end assured us we would be the next order to leave the building, estimating it would be about another half hour. Another hour goes by. At 8:40, we call again, but it goes to voicemail twice. We check the delivery hours in the website, and it says deliveries stop at 8:00, so we assumed our order simply wasn't coming. I hopped in the shower around 9:30 only to be interrupted by a phone call saying the delivery had arrived and needed to be collected. The courier seemed apologetic that I was soaking wet when collecting the delivery and said "it's a busy night". I have never felt compelled to leave a negative review on a local business, but this, in my view, is unacceptable. If an order placed at 6:30 will not arrive until three hours later, that needs to be communicated clearly to customers ahead of time. Really hope that our experience was an outlier and that this was truly an exceptionally busy night, but if not, very disappointing.
