I used to be a regular customer at this location as this is our community shop, but have decided to stop visiting anymore. Despite being a frequent customer for last three years and well above the legal age, the new manager who knows me as a regular customer, demands on checking my ID every single time. While I fully respect and understand the importance of following the law, repeatedly asking for identification from a regular customer in their mid-30s seems excessive and unnecessary. It left me feeling singled out, and I'm unsure if this is a standard practice for all customers or if I was specifically targeted.
I've been coming to this dispensary since 2020—five years now—and I've always been a loyal customer. The workers know me, and I've never had an issue until recently. I went in to buy rolling papers (not even weed) and realized I didn't have my ID on me. Even though the guy working recognized me and knew I was over 18, he refused to sell them to me, saying he didn't want to get in trouble. I get following rules, but there's a difference between being careful and just being difficult for no reason. If he didn't recognize me or didn't know my age, I'd understand. But he's seen my ID before and knows I'm over 18, so I expected better treatment after being a loyal customer for years.
I love this dispensary, and this was just one frustrating experience with a particular employee. It's still a great place—I just hope y'all can be more mindful when it comes to your regulars.
my boyfriend and i are regulars here almost daily, we've been going to value buds for years now and we always get exceptional service.
we just left this specific store and we had a very pleasant experience with joey, he went above and beyond to find us our purple kush shatter!!! he is extremely friendly. would highly recommend coming to this location just for the people and service 😊

Welcomed right away by the friendly staff. They helped me find just what I was looking for. There's always more than what's on the written menu in store so don't be afraid to ask.

Value Buds in Chappelle has been my go to dispensary since moving to Edmonton. They consistantly have amazing prices and always have stock of the latest and greateast strains. A huge shout out to Phil for his exceptional customer service, by far THE BEST budtender in that entire store. He has recommendations and honest reviews on all his products. I look forward to every visit, especially if Loki is around he is such a well mannered pup and so polite.
Though I will mention this 5 star is solely directed at Phil and Loki, the girls employed there need an attitude adjustment ASAP. If not for Phil, I would not return...do better ladies.
