I cannot believe I am reviewing a supermarket. Yet, in my opinion, this is the place to shop for food and medication. With Co-op's rebate program of returning profits as a percentage of expenditure in cash, this is the best option in our family's experience. Rebate's aside, there are several points to consider in Co-op's favour. 1. The butcher is a stand out, they will accept custom orders and the quality is here: we had a prime rib from these folks for a special occasion that met the AAA standard but also was brought with top notch service by the staff to select and meet our expectations to the letter, we also get this standard of care for their hand pressed burgers: not always the case at other vendors 2. Sales: always check out the meat and cold item sales, treasure will be found 3. Ethics: Co-op pays union salaries, does not include Palm Oil as a cheap additive to their generic products and sources uber local. I know these folks are not your boutique market but I find that if you look closely they 'walk the talk" when it comes to a great deal of the ethical values and quality levels I gravitate towards 4. Stress: I can get in and out of this location in particular without an undue impact upon my mental health. 5. The pharmacy is run well, not the fastest, but they are honest about how long they will need to fill orders and not send you roaming helplessly around the aisles sobbing into your hands from a hard day under the horsewhip of the Man.
