I think it's totally ridiculous that Tokyo Smoke is the only chain of stores that ask for ID from people over 35 (That's the benchmark of the other stores ) It's understandable if the person is young looking but when I who am 55 years old goes in there without ID, it's ridiculous to be turned away without the CBD I need for medical purposes not to mention the recreational portions I would've also purchased…I was just looking at the electronic menu at the Tokyo Smoke in Manuel's, NL and a young young lady full of piss and vinegar told me that I couldn't even read the menu if I didn't have an ID…So long Tokyo Smoke…Do better and set up customer profiles or something… The Liquor Store doesn't even ask anyone who looks over 35 for an ID!!
I will be purchasing my products elsewhere!!!!!
A very frustrated and unsatisfied customer!!
I've been coming here since legalization. Most of the staff here knows me to see me. Today, I was in the store and got ID checked by a new guy (Nothing wrong here). I proceed to show him my ID and he checks it, tells me it's expired. I leave the store and return him without any product, to check my own ID and see it isn't expired for another 8 months. If you're gonna hire people, please make sure they can read and write. Not only that, the man was disrespectful in his tone, and just lost that store a consistent and valuable customer. Great job to the rest of the team. New guy got to go, if he can't even check an ID correctly. Now I'm without my product, that I walked through a snow storm to get, to be wrongfully refused. Thanks for wasting my time, new guy.
I have had good service here and find the staff helpful. Recently, I was in the store browsing the display cases and was approached and asked for ID. I found this inappropriate and suggested that they ask for ID at the front entrance. I am almost 50. I showed my ID. Didn't feel like the staff member was very friendly or appreciated my suggestion. Doesn't make sense, ask at the front door and let people browse and make their purchases in peace.
Absolutely dog water customer service, a common consensus it seems.
been going there for a while, all the staff are awesome, have not had a bad time there and im in and out of the store in about 5 mins or less each time :D
