| For non-Quebecois tourists. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and bilingual. Quebec provincial policy has kind of dated patronizing view about certain cannabis products. I.E. they have great prices for flower but view vaping as a gateway for underage users or worse. Rather than a way to discretely not stink up your Airbnb and meter out dosage a little at a time. Similarly their edibles are terrible. Very low dosage with a definite lean towards everything tasting like a not very tasty miniature energy bar or fig Newton. I assume because it can not appear "candy-like". Looking at their website, it appears they sell fairly oil ready for baking projects so if you are visiting and an edibles person, that may be the way to go. Just bake some cookies or brownies yourself. Don't bother with their poor selection of edibles. That all said, the stores are clean, well run, friendly, easy to use, helpful staff. Pre-rolled joints are another worthy option for a visiting tourist. This particular branch is a former bank with heavy stone windows openings that attract some hippie hang abouts who use the stone window ledges as a bench fir hanging out. It's the heart of downtown and a very college-y area. Other locations don't seem to have the same hangers-out. They seem alright in Phish parking lot, BO abd Patchouli kind of way. Push right past them and go in. It's a lovely well lit shopping experience inside, once you adapt to the editorial slant of how the provincial governmen .. |
