| I recently visited imagine cannabis with my daughter and encountered a situation that left me feeling quite frustrated. The initial interaction with the young lady at the door was polite and clear – she explicitly told me that I would need my ID to purchase anything when I realized I'd left my wallet in the car, which was parked a few blocks away. My daughter and I walked all the way back to the car to retrieve my ID and then returned to the store.
At this point, I was prepared to make a purchase. However, a young man working there spoke to me in a rude and condescending tone, stating I couldn't buy anything. When I explained I now had my ID (and as a 45-year-old father, I'm well aware of age restrictions), he challenged me, asking how he could be sure I wouldn't give the purchase to my daughter, who was waiting outside. His tone implied that I was intentionally trying to circumvent their policies, which was not the case. The situation quickly escalated when he offered to get a manager "to explain things to me." At that point, I was taken aback and chose to leave the store.
While I understand the importance of strict adherence to regulations in a cannabis store and appreciate the initial politeness of the staff member at the door, the aggressive and accusatory manner of the young man was unwarranted and made for a very unpleasant experience.
