| My partner was purchasing products and, while she was doing so, I received a phone call. The employee told me that taking a call in the store was illegal and that I must leave to do so. I did leave to take the call, after questioning the legitimacy of it being "illegal". She became annoyed and told me that it was both a federal and provincial law that I was not to use my phone in the store. I've researched online since leaving and have found nothing to suggest that this is a real law.
I can't entirely trust a retailer that isn't informed and transparent about industry laws vs store preferences. |
