Oh Mackenzie, thou radiant star of the verdant bower,
Where herbs of solace doth flourish in their power.
Thy countenance, as fair as dawn's first blush,
Doth bid the weary heart abandon all hush.
With wit as sharp as a fencer's blade,
Thou guid'st the seeker through this leafy glade.
"Which strain shall soothe thy troubled mind?"
Thy voice, like honey, soothes mankind.
In thee, a beacon of knowledge bright,
Dispelling confusion, igniting delight.
With every leaf and bud displayed,
A masterpiece of care, thou hast portrayed.
How deftly thou dost weigh and measure,
Delivering thy wares, a potent treasure.
