| I am writing this message deeply hurt and disappointed by the experience I had at your store recently. As someone who came in hoping to enjoy my time and have a positive customer experience, what happened was the exact opposite — it left me feeling humiliated, disrespected, and in tears. This isn't the first time I've had a difficult experience at this store, but I tried to give it another chance. Unfortunately, what happened this time was far worse. As a refugee, my only official identification document at the moment is a certified true copy, which is widely accepted across Canada by government institutions and private businesses. I also presented my brown paper, which confirms my legal refugee status. Despite that, I was told my documents were not acceptable. I was accused of lying, spoken to with extreme disrespect, and made to feel like I didn't belong — simply because my ID was different. I was told I "don't understand anything," and it felt as if I was being treated unfairly for reasons that had nothing to do with the validity of my documents. The way I was spoken to and dismissed made me feel extremely small and unwelcome. Even after I explained that certified true copies are standard and advised by IRCC to avoid damaging the original documents, I was kicked out of the store. I had to walk home in the snow, grab sensitive paperwork that should be kept safe, and return — only to be further insulted. The manager told me I was "not welcome." (I showed my hosp .. | ||
