On a previous occasion, a manager at a different location generously offered a one-time staff discount on a product soon to be phased out, explicitly stating it was a special gesture under specific circumstances for that store alone. This experience set a precedent for exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, my recent experience at another location was disheartening. Upon inquiring about a discount for buying bulk quantities of a soon-to-be-discontinued product, the manager's response was unexpectedly harsh and dismissive. The assertion that 'That is not how things work' felt inappropriate and contributed to a sense of inconsistent customer service across locations. This interaction left me feeling undervalued as a customer who spends significantly each month. While I value the brand, this experience was unsettling and not reflective of the kindness I've encountered before.
