I am a regular customer at Canna Cabanna and visit the Varsity branch at least once a week. The staff there are always friendly and kind. Since the opening of the Brentwood branch, I have also started visiting there when the Varsity branch is out of stock on my favorite items. During my visit today, I inquired about a particular item, but the staff asked to see my ID before they could confirm if it was in stock. I replied that I had my ID with me and would show it if I decided to make a purchase, but the staff insisted that they needed to see it first. I expressed my frustration, stating that I didn't want to show my ID just to find out they didn't have the item; if they didn't have it, it would be easier for me to just leave. In the end, I had to show my ID just to learn that they did not have the item in stock. I think it's important to teach your new staff some manners. The law clearly states that cannabis cannot be sold to minors, right? Additionally, when providing stock information over the phone can you check the id of the customer? But you share that anyway right? Then why would you force someone to show ID if you don't have the item in stock? This experience was quite frustrating. BTW I am 32 and my frustration towards this type of attitude is completely valid.
