I've been going to a different store for a while but decided to try this one on June 18. I came in about 40 minutes before close, which I usually avoid unless I need something to help me sleep. I was browsing the menu on the large iPad, thinking it would let me order directly with an order # but realized it didn't. I asked the employer if they knew what product I was talking about as I gave a description and was also trying to look up the product on my phone and felt a bit anxious.
While I was doing this, a staff member with curly brown hair and a grey "America" sweater (I think his name was Jake or Jack) said, loudly and in front of other customers, "We don't have time for this. I don't get why it's taking you so long." As well as other things that I couldn't fully hear. I was shocked. There was only 3 people in line and two of the guys were ringing out the items…don't know why I was talked to like this. I've worked in cannabis retail, and I know closing time can be tiring — but no customer should be spoken to that way, especially when I'd only been in the store for max 5 minutes.
Thankfully, the staff member helping me — I believe his name was Kaur — reassured me and said, "Don't listen, just tell me what you want." Even though he seemed frustrated at first, he handled the situation professionally and made sure I got what I needed. I really appreciated that.
I hope this place becomes a more supportive environment — for both customers and the staff who genuinely ..
