The cumulative impact has been significant. A space intended to provide relief and support has instead generated anxiety and disrupted personal peace. Most troubling is the health consequence: cannabis, previously relied upon for legitimate pain management, has become difficult to access due to the environment surrounding this establishment. No customer should feel compelled to abandon effective treatment simply to protect their mental well-being. This is not about isolated incidents but about management oversight and duty of care. Businesses must supervise their spaces, respond when patron behavior affects others negatively, and recognize that community impact extends beyond the storefront. Until meaningful steps are taken to create a controlled, respectful, and genuinely safe environment, this establishment cannot be recommended.

In that time, I have witnessed businesses arrive, integrate, and contribute positively to the fabric of the community. Value Buds is not one of them. This dispensary has demonstrably failed to operate in a manner compatible with the safety, stability, and well-being of the surrounding residential community. Rather than contributing to neighborhood cohesion, its presence has coincided with a sustained increase in disorder, loitering, and a pervasive sense of insecurity for residents. These are not abstract concerns; they materially affect how safe people feel moving through and living in their own neighborhood. For residents managing mental health conditions, including myself, this environment has had serious consequences. Repeated expressions of concern, requests for mitigation, and appeals for reasonable accommodation under the Mental Health Act have been met with indifference or superficial gestures that fail to address the underlying harm. Warnings and assurances without meaningful operational change are not corrective action, they are negligence. A business operating legally is still obligated to operate responsibly.
