Coast Salish Canna is a boutique, licensed cannabis shop in Nanaimo and area. Our stores in Cedar and next to the Brechin Boat Ramp (five minutes walk from the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal) carry fresh, high-quality cannabis products. In addition to the premium brands you know and love, this summer we will feature craft products from local and Indigenous producers you won’t find anywhere else.

Cultivating Tradition

We’re owned by the Snuneymuxw First Nation, a Coast Salish people who are the original inhabitants of the coastal areas along Vancouver Island and the Pacific Northwest.

Cannabis is a long-standing part of Coast Salish culture. It’s been cultivated and used here for thousands of years. We’re proud to share our traditions with both locals and visitors to the island, and invite you to enjoy the unique features of our beautiful stores.

Showcasing Indigenous Excellence

This year, we’ll be creating a cultural buzz in our stores by selling artwork and crafts made by artists from the local First Nations communities where our stores are located.

Our Mission

Our mission is to both celebrate the long-standing cultural significance cannabis has for the Coast Salish People, as well as further the economic potential of both the Snuneymuxw First Nation, and the other Nations who live on these lands. We proudly share the best cannabis the region has to offer with our customers.
