Since 2009 we’ve been dreaming up spaces for Cannabis lovers to feel at home. As smokers ourselves, we were sick and tired of sketchy alleys leading to bargain basements that made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
Canadians deserved something better, and so we opened our first Smoker’s Corner head shop in downtown Calgary that same year. Finally a bright, clean, welcoming place where marijuana enthusiasts could gather and geek out about cannabis culture – weed, bongs, pipes, vaporizers and our love of the plant!
After legalization, we knew we wanted to bring that same vibe to selling Cannabis (man, sometimes we still can’t believe it’s finally legal).
Canna Cabana was created for people who loved weed (still do) and want to buy it, smoke it, and talk about it in a playful, safe environment. We call that a Cabana and we built it for you!

Only reason I'm giving two stars is because most of the staff are super sweet & friendly - but everything else is pretty disappointing.
-Website is trash, rarely works and they don't update when they get product or run out. I like to browse the menu before going in but can't. Took forever for them to even list it on Google after it opened.
-The phone number listed on google isn't even in service so you can't call to ask questions or anything.
-came here on a Saturday at around 5:30pm and the doors were locked, open sign was off. There was no sign put up if staff was on break or whatever. Sat there until almost 6pm because I know they need breaks but no one came to open the door. Left without product and went elsewhere.
-prices are VERY similar to OVCS across the street… or just go to the rez's in Golden Lake… save your money lol.
-you also can't use other people's accounts. I tried to get my bf to run in and get me something while he was in town (he's not a user) and he tried to use my number but they refused because the names didn't match.
-they power trip about checking IDs even if you look over the age of 25.
Just weird as hell and they've been open for almost a year now…. Get it together y'all.
I had an absolutely amazing first experience at Canna Cabana! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. A huge shoutout to Olivia, who went above and beyond to make my visit such a positive one. She was extremely helpful, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the products, which made it so much easier for me to find exactly what I was looking for. Olivia's friendly attitude and expertise turned what could have been an overwhelming first visit into an awesome experience. Thanks to her, I'll definitely be coming back!
The staff here are the only reason I've continued shopping, especially the two guys who've been here since day one. They're always friendly, helpful, and seem to genuinely appreciate the customers.
Unfortunately, the company itself is the problem. Unlike every other dispensary in town, this one flat-out refuses to order customer-requested products. I've asked several times and always get told it 'can't be done,' which is simply not true. Other shops in town manage it with no issue.
It feels like corporate policy ties the staff's hands and makes them take the heat for decisions that aren't theirs. Customers deserve honesty and options, and the staff deserve better support from the company. Until that changes, it's hard to recommend this location.
I had an absolutely terrible experience here. I don't often like to leave bad reviews but it was enough to make me leave one. Save your time, a headache and sanity. This store has such a disconnect from corporate to in store, prices don't match online than instore, the guy kept saying they didn't have the product and kept blaming the online search engine but I used my eyes and found it all. The guy there should definitely read what the different products are and know where they are in stores.
OVCS IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, why go to this place. They are a corporate store so the staff can't really help you out or make decisions. Ovcs is locally owned and operated and will literally give you the shirts off their backs.
