5Buds is a locally owned cannabis retail shop, 100% homegrown in Saskatchewan.
Our story began when four friendly Indigenous investment companies came together in a meeting early in 2018. Being good neighbors, the four knew each other and some had worked with others in the past. But never before had all four of them joined forces on a single venture.
In the spring of 2018, Canada was about to make history by legalizing cannabis. We were fortunate enough to get a chance to be a part of it. Our stores in Warman, North Battleford and Yorkton will be open in 2018 and spring 2019.
Our four founding members – Prince Albert First Nations Business Development, Peter Ballantyne Group of Companies, Des Nedhe Development, and Athabasca Basin Development – are each different but they do have one thing in common. All four members are proud to be good citizens, giving back to their communities and working to improve the lives of the Indigenous communities that own them.
We are proud to support local non-profit organizations in the communities in which we operate, and proud that the profits from 5Buds go towards building wealth and economic development opportunities for thirteen First Nations in Saskatchewan.

5Buds PA is a fantastic store! They always have a great selection and top shelf customer service. They do play by the rules though, I forgot my ID and had to go get it but that was my mistake they gotta do their jobs.
But hey, I'll take getting carded at almost 40 it makes ya feel young again! If you want selection at great prices and a staff that really cares 5Buds is the joint.
I "used to be" a customer till tonight. I went there tonight and it was only when the female staff asked for the ID I came to know that I had left my physical ID at home. So I went to the entry way waiting for my ride. Then this long haired male staff came out being rude and passive aggressive and said I can't wait for the ride there so I went out in the cold, didn't even have a jacket on, and he came out again and said im loitering like I wasn't even right infront of the door. I can understand if that's the policy but there's a way to talk to people. Mannerless customer service people are going to cost the business. Im never buying from the store again and neither are any of my friends.
Shopped here over a few months period, a few times they tried upselling me to buy something completely different from what I came in for. Pushy and not the best customer service. I just shop at canaba now. Not enough balanced bud options either. Especially in bulk. I don't want to buy 3 joints or 3.5. I want a selection of 14g+ and they never have it.
Dustin is very knowledgeable about cannabis and makes sure his staff are just as knowledgeable. His staff are all very friendly, approachable, and have great attitude towards helping their customers . This is by far the best cannabis store in Prince Albert! If I could give these wonderful people 10 stars I would!
If I could give this establishment -10! I would! I went in 5 buds and I was followed by some teenager whom I didn't knew, we both walked in the same time. Staff there did not ID the girl or ask me if I was with her!!! she left on her own. Than once I got my stuff! They denied me services! Saying i was providing her products! I didn't see her, or talked with the girl in purple!
Next time be discreet, and don't make a Scene within your store. Assumptions is not facts! Train your staff how to proceed customers more nicely! Racism and stereotyping me is gross! This staff and managers are gross!
