Petri born in Helsinki, moved to Canada as a child. Growing up he enjoyed hockey, cars, and being active in the outdoors. Petri always dreamed of being a business owner as a young man. In 1996 Petri was in a catastrophic motor vehicle accident, his outlook was very bleak, he rehabilitated with 11 surgeries, physiotherapy, and hope. He was able to find success, recovery, and mobility. Petri worked in the automotive industry as an auto body technician for almost 40 years, which brings us too now. He has let the automotive industry to open Nipigon’s first cannabis retail store with his wife. Despite the bumps and multiple hopeful opening dates, success is on the horizon.

Ashley, born local to Trent and Jean Palmer moved in 1999 to Thunder Bay to access medical facilities for her father who suffered multiple strokes, fast forward 20 years and she and her family are back. Living on the outskirts of town with her family being back home and the dream of being a business owner has come true. She has accomplished much in her time away, built a successful career in education, sits as chair on multiple committees and a champion for equity in education. Community and giving back to it is what she truly enjoys, often finding creative ways to impact those around her.
