You're Always Welcome At Canna Cabana!
Since 2009 we’ve been dreaming up spaces for Cannabis lovers to feel at home. As smokers ourselves, we were sick and tired of sketchy alleys leading to bargain basements that made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
Canadians deserved something better, and so we opened our first Smoker’s Corner head shop in downtown Calgary that same year. Finally a bright, clean, welcoming place where marijuana enthusiasts could gather and geek out about cannabis culture – weed, bongs, pipes, vaporizers and yes… even getting high!
After legalization, we knew we wanted to bring that same vibe to selling legal Cannabis (man, sometimes we still can’t believe it).
Canna Cabana was created for people who loved weed (still do) and want to buy it, smoke it, and talk about it in a playful, safe environment. We call that a Cabana and we built it for you!

I've been to a number of Canna Cabana locations before, but my visit to the Canmore store yesterday was by far one of the best experiences I've had. The new manager, Eddie, went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. He patiently walked me through the different products, explained everything in detail, and really made the shopping experience comfortable and easy.
What stood out the most was when Eddie suggested I keep the receipt with me, just in case I was stopped while driving. I normally don't bother taking receipts, but I'm so glad I did this time—because later on, I was actually pulled over, and having that receipt with me made all the difference.
Went there at 6:45pm on a Wednesday and the door was locked. So I call amd the girl on the phone tells me "we close at 7pm!" I said "ok it's 6:45p." She's like "listen, I'm here all by myself, WE'RE CLOSED!" and then hangs up the phone.
Wow. Do better!
1. Immediately carded before I was greeted.
2. Open/close hours shortened by 3 hours, not too convenient.
3. Previous staff were friendlier unfortunately. Also had more product knowledge. So sorry!
4. June 16th 2025 closed when arrived at 5:37pm with a sign saying "will be back at 6:15pm" and your store closes at 7pm.
No wonder they can't keep employees, with a passive-aggressive little hobbit named Devin as the manager. Apparently, different employees have varying rules on returns of defective carts. I'd be happy to discuss what happened with corporate, but until then, I will take my business elsewhere.
Wouldn't recommend.
I've been there several times and they consistently open late and close earlier than the posted hours. Very unreliable. On top of that, customer service is poor—most of the time they don't even greet you and the attitude is pretty unfriendly. There are better options nearby with more professional service.
