I visited Value Buds on June 5, 2025, at around 9:45 p.m. After reading some of the more recent reviews, I'll admit I was a little unsure about what kind of experience I might have. But I was pleasantly surprised. The young gentleman working at the time greeted me right away and was both friendly and genuinely helpful throughout. I didn't catch his name or I'd mention it here, because he definitely deserves the recognition. I really appreciated the service I received.
The younger staff are very rude and unwelcoming. The previous staff was 100 times better. The kids are very stand offish with customers. Save the sighs and the urghs for your parents kids. We the paying public are not going to tolerate that sort of behaviour from the staff in an establishment that we come to spend our hard earned money. The brunette girl who's on the taller side is very nice and polite. Wish she was there every time I shopped she's the only person there who knows anything about proper customer service. The old staff made this place a pleasurable shopping experience. The new staff act like a bunch of brats desperately in need of some corporate discipline. This location is a niche location because its set in one of wealthier neighbourhoods in the city compared to the other Value Buds locations. Nobody is going to go out of their way to drive to the Hamptons to shop here. But we the loyal patrons can go elsewhere. This business relies heavily on the surrounding communities of the Hamptons and Edgemont. Alienate the people within the community that support you and this business will fall very fast. And that's exactly what the young staff are doing here. I will be making my usual 3 visits a week to a different dispensary because I am not tolerating the bad behaviour of the children who work here. Thank you.

I got what I wanted, but the interaction with the front counter staff was very unpleasant.
Awesome place to shop. Always super helpful & have a good supply of stock.
Very poor customer service. The young long haired blonde girl at the counter was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude. I would have to repeat myself a few times for her to even acknowledge me. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day but each time I go in there and see her it's the exact same thing. Everything you say and/or do is a huge inconvenience to this girl. It's obvious that many others feel the same based on the reviews. I also understand the policy around showing your ID at the counter when asking questions, etc., but why is it that the staff are so demanding and angry when I don't pull it out fast enough. This is probably one of the worst locations in Edmonton and I will not be returning. My business will be very much welcomed else where.
