Today turned out to be a disappointing visit. It started out well enough though.
When I went in, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Although they didn't have the brand I wanted, I knew what I was looking for in general. Specifically, I wanted a pack of 20 .35g pre-rolls of sativa. The clerk happily went to locate the one he had in mind that would fit my request. The item he brought was a hybrid sativa dominant of which I expressed that I wanted just sativa because indica makes me sick. Indica puts me into a downward spiral and since I prefer to be happy, I stick with sativa only. When I expressed my preference, he tried to assure me that there wasn't a significant difference between indica and sativa, and something about it's how they are cultivated that determines if they are indica or sativa. I don't particularly care, but I know how indica makes me feel and I don't like it. He argued against my assertions insisting, no, challenging me to find any evidence of this. He was literally talking over me to make his point, which, by now, was irrelevent. Customers aren't always right, but when a customer says they don't want something, stop trying to sell it to them. It only makes me less likely to ever visit your location again. I don't appreciate someone treating me that way, customer or not. Some people need to be better humans.

I don't enjoy placing an order online when the site says it's in stock, to be told multiple times when I get there that it isn't, and then I'm stuck waiting for a refund and still have to make a purchase. Side note, I've been waiting 10 days for a refund after being told that day I was getting a refund, then drove in 4 days later and asked about the refund, and was told it was being done. Went in after 6 days from initial refund statement, and told it takes up to 5 business days. It's been 6 at minimum, and still no refund, no phone calls, they don't answer when I call.... unbelievable lol. Having to go through the bank to get a refund is unacceptable, I think I'll take my business elsewhere.
Bought 2 x 14g jars of flower on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024. Both had the Canada tax seals and inner foil seals broken. Spent $270 and not even sure if I got the right amount or even the right flower. I'd go back to tell them myself but I live 2.5 hours away and only stopped there on my way home from Ottawa.
Just wanted to respond to a review that was posted a day ago. The staff at Kemptville are nothing but spectacular, and it is quite clear that you have never actually been to any of the other Dream locations, as there are female employees that do work for the business. Do not falsely claim yourself to be a feminist and make negative reviews on behalf of your friend to tarnish a business's reputation.
Well I have been going to dream since it opened and the very first time I go in I felt like I wasn't welcome and had to rush to get what I wanted and eventually it seemed to get better but still feel like I m not welcome and after a best friend recently went to dream and she was very upset and angry and the staff there have no customer service experience at all and why are there no women working at any of the locations and I think that being a feminist and that not right and if you work in any business thing are equal.
I will no long be shopping at dream. Also none of my friends will be shopping at any of your locations.
