Supposed to close at 10. I get there at 953 and they're locked up. Closed. I have 0 issues at the vanier store. Unfortunately they close at 9
I visited High Ties on Rideau to buy a vape battery that my regular store didn't carry. My first visit was positive: a friendly clerk greeted me with a big smile, and although they didn't have the item I wanted on that day, they offered alternatives. Before I left, the clerk informed me about their price-matching policy, making me glad I'd stopped by.
My second visit, however, was entirely different. This clerk was busy chatting on his phone and didn't greet me as I entered. He disappeared and returned, still on his phone, to let me through the stanchion. As I left after paying for my battery, he remained on the phone and made no effort to assist me in exiting. I didn't know how to open the stanchion, so I budged a post aside to squeeze through and leave.
The clerk suddenly yelled at me for not putting the post back, and followed me outside, shouting that I should have waited. He then threatened me with physical violence and hollered out that I was banned from the store. I guess that was my reward for choosing their business to make a purchase? It was quite surreal.
I contacted High Ties to express my concerns about the incident, and I was fortunate enough to reach the manager, Theresa, at another location. She listened attentively, was profusely apologetic, assured me that I was not banned, promised I would receive an apology from this employee, and offered a 25% discount at any High Ties.

The staff here is absolutely ignorant! So unwelcoming this location should be avoided and shut down way better shops downtown then this!
Don't make a mistake on your order....they'll process your payment and then call to tell you that you made a mistake so they can't deliver your order and guess what.....I now have to wait 7-14 business days for my money back. Very bad business service....the manager was no help. I will never buy from them again and certainly don't recommend them.
Won't be returning here. I believe it was the manager who was rude and dismissive towards me as I got to the front of the line. He said someone else was before me but that customer was on the monitor browsing for stuff and I stood behind the people waiting in line. If that's the manager, I feel bad for the employees working there, who are much more friendly. There's a dispensary right across the street and purple meadows 2 mins away.. I'll just go there instead
