You're Always Welcome At Canna Cabana!

Since 2009 we’ve been dreaming up spaces for Cannabis lovers to feel at home. As smokers ourselves, we were sick and tired of sketchy alleys leading to bargain basements that made us feel like we were doing something wrong.

Canadians deserved something better, and so we opened our first Smoker’s Corner head shop in downtown Calgary that same year. Finally a bright, clean, welcoming place where marijuana enthusiasts could gather and geek out about cannabis culture – weed, bongs, pipes, vaporizers and our love of the plant!

After legalization, we knew we wanted to bring that same vibe to selling Cannabis (man, sometimes we still can’t believe it’s finally legal).

Canna Cabana was created for people who loved weed (still do) and want to buy it, smoke it, and talk about it in a playful, safe environment. We call that a Cabana and we built it for you!

I don't like going to major chains. I often find them stuffy and corporate. This one hits differently. The prices for some items are surprisingly cheap (with the free membership). The prices for other items are unrealistically expensive. I usually know what I am looking for and at what price point. Do your research and you can find some amazing deals. The biggest positive for this store is the people. I have met many of the employees and they always have a welcoming aura to them. They have a good knowledge of cannabis and related products. Two big cons. I'm tempted to lower my rating because of these issues. 1. Why is there a damn doorbell to be buzzed in. Even psilocybin stores are opening the doors. Anything that creates a barrier to a new consumer entering the market is a bad thing. I haven't seen other chains do this. 2. What is up with the aprons. Im a stoner, you cant startle me with new bright coloured outfits. I liked the individuality that I felt from employees in their own clothes. It allowed each of them to express their creativity.. Now they have something to hang themselves with. I get the idea, try to dumb down the budtenders so that new customers dont feel intimidated asking basic questions. Underneath the aprons at this store are genuinely passionate people who love cannabis. Hopefully this image change doesn't affect the morale or I will need to find a new chain when I cant find a local neighbourhood shop.. Canna Cabana is one ..

The hours are wrong. I got there at 10:50pm and they were already closed. I was upset because I could have gone to a different dispensary that WAS open until 11 pm with that time! Two stars because the weed selection here is good nonetheless
