Since 2009 we’ve been dreaming up spaces for Cannabis lovers to feel at home. As smokers ourselves, we were sick and tired of sketchy alleys leading to bargain basements that made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
Canadians deserved something better, and so we opened our first Smoker’s Corner head shop in downtown Calgary that same year. Finally a bright, clean, welcoming place where marijuana enthusiasts could gather and geek out about cannabis culture – weed, bongs, pipes, vaporizers and yes… even getting high!
After legalization, we knew we wanted to bring that same vibe to selling legal Cannabis (man, sometimes we still can’t believe it).
Canna Cabana was created for people who loved weed (still do) and want to buy it, smoke it, and talk about it in a playful, safe environment. We call that a Cabana and we built it for you!

I have never been treated so poorly at any other Canna location. I have been using this location since before it was a Canna. Up until today I had no issue at all other then the board maybe being down. Today KAT the employee I had the displeasure of dealing with was not only rude but insulted the fact that I have hearing disability and speak a bit louder then most. This was when I was trying to figure out why the 14 day policy at 2 days in didn't apply.
She refused to
A) do her job and follow the company rules ( all of which where confirmed at three other locations and corporate Before/after speaking to her)
B) would not stop talking down to me and treating me like gum under her shoe and made some awful comments about my son as well.
Canna I was unaware that you employee hostel, ableism, belittling staff members that abuse your customers. She is never friendly and I have dealt with her several times. She refuses to assist customer and stated there is no one above her and she can run the policies the way she sees fit. It was not until she was informed I had spoken to other location and reported the first encounter she agreed to follow policy.
I will never be back to this location and that sucks as every other staff member is so friendly and helpful.
Pretty good prices and deals with a free membership. Was under the impression that canna cabana did deliveries, but unfortunately it seems like false advertisement
So happy to have this canna close to my house ! I can't say enough about the staff here but my favorite is Dan.. honestly I'm chronically overwhelmed and every single time I trust his advice and not once have I been disappointed or felt like I was just pushed a product to move it. I'll keep coming back and hoping Daniel is working because my brain can easily be left in the car and leave it to his excellent advice .. I feel like I also made a friend here so can't say enough good things
I don't ever leave reviews but tonight I had to. Every time I come here, Daniel provides the most outstanding service with his mind-blowing product knowledge and service, but more importantly he is so incredibly kind. He is truly a great soul and his compassion really was needed. (Thank you) Give this guy all the raises, he's a huge asset to your company and to Calgary.
Super disappointing that this location became a Cana cabana. The old location had friendly staff, were always polite, and I would come and bring my dogs in to visit. Ive been a customer here since it opened. None of the old staff remain. Today I encountered two rude employees, no smiles, no manners. The lack of a menu is also super frustrating. I just want to see everything in one place so I can compare directly. No one wants to stare at a crusty iPad screen and scroll through products. Don't waste your time here.
