Since 2009 we’ve been dreaming up spaces for Cannabis lovers to feel at home. As smokers ourselves, we were sick and tired of sketchy alleys leading to bargain basements that made us feel like we were doing something wrong.
Canadians deserved something better, and so we opened our first Smoker’s Corner head shop in downtown Calgary that same year. Finally a bright, clean, welcoming place where marijuana enthusiasts could gather and geek out about cannabis culture – weed, bongs, pipes, vaporizers and yes… even getting high!
After legalization, we knew we wanted to bring that same vibe to selling legal Cannabis (man, sometimes we still can’t believe it).
Canna Cabana was created for people who loved weed (still do) and want to buy it, smoke it, and talk about it in a playful, safe environment. We call that a Cabana and we built it for you!

I've been going here since they opened. According to their new policy the spinach pink lemonade that was available to the public without an elite membership, now starting yesterday I need to buy an elite membership to purchase it. Unbelievably not fair. Your taking a product you have had for a while, then putting an elite membership or you cant purchase it anymore. They have lost my business. Poor service.
O stars if I could!!! I go to this weed store ALL the time. I was one of the DAY one customers. Never ever ever had an issue with this place, UNTIL LAST NIGHT… very upset by the service of Nolan! My husband went in the store last night with a friend of ours and in the middle of being served two women walked in and immediately his attention was turned to them. He completely ignored the males (my husband and his friend) who he had already started serving to serve the women who just walked in. Leaving myself sitting in the car for nearly 25 minutes waiting for them… the only time I have ever stayed that long is to chat with any of the other employees who work there. Never felt like I needed to complain about anyone however that's upsetting.

I don't know if it's just some re-training, or perhaps some form of management switch up, but the staff at this location are generally much happier now, and they have good product knowledge. They cycled through a few new staff until they found their current crew.
There's this one guy who's always super friendly, I don't remember his name, but hats off to you good sir! (If I remember it I'll update this review to give them proper credit)
This location has more than earned a raising of their rating from 2 Stars to 4 Stars!
If you want to earn that last Star Canna Cabana, you're gonna need to make your hours longer. 10AM - 11PM is too restrictive for me personally. I usually don't run out of weed until late at night, or I don't get off work till late at night. So I can't go when I actually need to, I have to wait till the next day usually, which can cause issues for me schedule wide.
The AGLC allows Dispensaries to be open until 2AM just like Liquor Stores and Bars, please just extend your hours. Even if you have to open later to accommodate, alternating open late and open early days would be a fantastic way to drive up business evenly throughout the week for example.

Gone downhill fast.
The previous staff at this location were amazing. They knew myself and my wife, our preferences, and really cared about our experience. Both in the store, and with what we purchased.
