5Buds is a locally owned cannabis retail shop, 100% homegrown in Saskatchewan.
Our story began when four friendly Indigenous investment companies came together in a meeting early in 2018. Being good neighbors, the four knew each other and some had worked with others in the past. But never before had all four of them joined forces on a single venture.
In the spring of 2018, Canada was about to make history by legalizing cannabis. We were fortunate enough to get a chance to be a part of it. Our stores in Warman, North Battleford and Yorkton will be open in 2018 and spring 2019.
Our four founding members – Prince Albert First Nations Business Development, Peter Ballantyne Group of Companies, Des Nedhe Development, and Athabasca Basin Development – are each different but they do have one thing in common. All four members are proud to be good citizens, giving back to their communities and working to improve the lives of the Indigenous communities that own them.
We are proud to support local non-profit organizations in the communities in which we operate, and proud that the profits from 5Buds go towards building wealth and economic development opportunities for thirteen First Nations in Saskatchewan.

An employee named Mike is a very helpful and polite fellow. He continues to update his knowledge of new products and is always able to answer my many questions. He is not simply a salesman or employee; he takes his job seriously, his customer service is unmatched. Rain or shine, Mike is there to hold down the fort; his dedication unmatched! He is never disrespectful or impatient, which is a breath of fresh air for someone with social anxiety. I've tried so many great new products at his recommendation, and had a delightfully jazzy time doing so!! (Thank you very much, Mike! 😄)

incident that occurred at your store on now at here. After purchasing items and leaving the store, we were approached by an individual who rudely demanded to see our IDs. We explained that we had already provided identification to staff inside, but this person, who claimed to be the brother of the store manager, insisted on taking us back inside the store.
His behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful, and we were left feeling confused and humiliated. Once inside, the staff confirmed that everything was in order, and we were allowed to leave. However, the entire experience was unnecessary and distressing, and we were not given any explanation as to why we were subjected to such treatment.
We expect better customer service and basic respect from your establishment. We hope you take this matter seriously and ensure that all staff and associated individuals are trained to handle customer interactions professionally
