Home of the "dewbie"- a handmade, infinitely reusable, kiln-fired stone, hand-crafted in Calgary for the purpose of quickly rehydrating overly-dried cannabis (about 10 minutes per gram).
We love the coffee!!! It's an amazing local and family run business that really knows how to make amazing coffee!!
I have been ordering whole bean coffee delivery for several years, they never miss a beat! Coffee beans delivered fresh and reliably every time. The roasts are all delicious, I'm not even sure I have a favourite.
I found their amazing coffee through the Bragg Creek Christmas market back in December (so I'm only reviewing their coffee beans here). I hadn't heard of this local roaster until then, and I seriously feel like I've been missing out. Every coffee bean they sell is really impressive. Lots of depth and nuance with each variety, but one thing remains constant - it's always makes a seriously impressive cup of joe. Thanks for doing Calgary proud, and thanks for branding yourself with my personal favourite mountain in the Rockies! It was meant to be!
We love Devil's Head! Amazing coffee, awesome service - team there is clearly passionate about what they do!
The store front was clean and professional, yet down to earth casual / comfortable as any Albertan would appreciate. Very knowledgeable about what roasts and beans with suggestions as to what might suit me; despite my espresso problems/skill issues at home. Was sent with a couple of suggestions on espresso brewing techniques, and picked up a couple of bags of roasted coffee, most of which were roasted that same week. I've taken a couple of days to post the review, as despite the welcoming experience and friendly staff, wanted to form an opinion on .. You know.. The actual whole bean coffee. Long of the short the quality is excellent, on all of the roasts I picked up, (Guatemalan, Ethiopia, and 'the ghost'). I'm finding the beans and roast on par (or better) than other similar roasts from other notable competition locally. Friendly (and convenient) at a lower price point especially while in volume with the 2lb bags. Long of the short I may well have found my new local roaster, and will be suggesting this to friends and family. Even if your not into espresso or 'fancy coffee' I would give these beans a go for an affordable and superior option to anything you can get at the store.
